About

Hi. I’ve been working with electronics and software since I was “young”. My first program was written in 1970, and I had been building electronic kits 3 years earlier. Mom was terrifically patient even when a strobe light I was building caused a capacitor to blow up accompanied by a bright spark, smoke, and popping the kitchen circuit. To appreciate serious electronics the tinker like me experienced a color tv’s flyback transformer first hand, after waking up and rubbing sore muscles, it creates respect and explains so much of my personality.

I earned a BS in Computer Science from Rochester Institute of Technology in 1982, after many starts and stops which included a stint at Worcester Polytechnic Institute.

My family tradition is to start businesses, and rather than give you a long dialog, here’s a list of my career growth, you’ll find details of some of these elsewhere on the site.
