Advanced Intelligent Networks

An outgrowth from David Roland’s college consulting company Roland Projects, Advanced Intelligent Networks was incorporated in Colorado in 1995 as a joint project between TurnKey Solutions and Roland Projects to support a Seiko Epson ISDN project.

Roland had been contributing to the North American ISDN Users’ Forum (NIUF) under the oversight of the National Institute of Standards and Technology, under the authority of the US Department of Commerce. Roland chaired a number of Forum focus groups including Compatibilities and Capabilities Profiling team. Contributions to the NIUF eventually turned into the US NATIONAL ISDN 1 and 2 specifications adopted by all US phone networks.

Although Roland bought out Newgen’s interest in Advanced Intelligent Networks, the project led to US patent #6,208,640 “Predictive bandwidth allocation method and apparatus” Issued Mar 27, 2001

Advanced Intelligent Networks is primarily a research and development “skunk works”, developing Cyber Security systems, Encryption methods, communication systems, Wireless modems, and consumer products.

Advanced Intelligent Networks largest research project was to design a national network for the Government of Rwanda. Numerous technologies came out of this project including a 30+Mbit radio modem for rural areas, content distribution system, and a mobile telephone technology that doesn’t use “traditional cellular services”.

Today

Advanced Intelligent Networks (AIN) performs engineering research in Intelligent Networking applications and develops integrated services. AIN is strongly based in telecommunications and distributed systems using Artificial Intelligence techniques to provide leverage across the global infrastructure.

Most AIN products and services are intended for consumer – personal use to develop and distribute information products to create wealth. AIN’s products range from very inexpensive embedded controllers, to large (national infrastructure) scale, including fault-tolerance, real-time, self healing systems.

AIN, is a company of independent engineering investors who have contributed their time, skills and resources over nearly 30 years to develop social welfare technical solutions
